Reporting to the Executive Director, the Communication Co-ordinator will be responsible for strategizing marketing/social networking and assisting with the creation and development of internal and external marketing initiatives. Candidate has to promote the image as well as services of our organization; to maintain liaison with agencies, local groups, the media and individuals as well as provide special events and communication support.
Main Responsibilities:
· Prepare an annual event calendar scheduling programs and presentations · Develop promotional strategies and materials for programs and presentations including website and newsletter · Develop, translate relevant information for publicity purpose · Develop and update mailing list · Develop and maintain stock of relevant pamphlets and flyers · Evaluate the effectiveness of programs and presentations · Plans for regular updates of information to maintain timeliness of data, statistics, tracking and analytics · Works closely with media groups
Qualifications: · Bachelor's degree in Communications or equivalent combination of education and experience in related field. · Experience in media relations · Experience and skills in making presentations to groups · Superior communication skills, tact and maturity · Flexibility and creativity · Able to speak Cantonese and Mandarin · Able to type Simplified and Traditional Chinese · Thorough working knowledge of computer including Word, Access, PowerPoint, Excel and maintain website · Must have excellent time management skills, able to prioritize workload and work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- Part time 22.5 hours, one year contract term position with possible extension based on project outcomes - Reporting to the Executive Director
